July 4th Blog Hop

Ruby Slippers Blog Designs

Happy 4th of July!  I don’t know if it is the fireworks, the time with family, or the fact that it summertime, but the Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays!  My daughter has been busy with her firework art projects!

For the first one, she used chalk on dark, thick paper to design fun fireworks.  She used the chalk to draw a border as well.

For the second one, she used straws dipped in paint to create what looks like fireworks when added to white paper.  She decided to use a hair tie to keep the straws together because they were too difficult to keep together otherwise!

It is SOOO fun to see her in her element (and to join in and help too!).  I am far from artistic, so I love that she is!
This is what I have been up to:

There are so many fun summer terms:  flip flops, swimming, shorts, and sand castles to name a few.  So, I thought I would add them as vocabulary words for my newest WILD card game!

Your kids (at school AND at home) will enjoy playing a summer version of this Uno-type game.  Instead of matching numbers, kids will match the picture clue to the word that describes it.  For example:

The words “beach ball” matches with the picture of the beach ball and the words “ice cream” match with the picture of the ice cream cone.

You can grab this new version for FREE right now by clicking here.  If you enjoy this game, make sure to head on over to Educents where you can grab my addition card edition for FREE as well.  And, for this week only, my bundles are on sale for only $6.99 each (they each contain 6 games, so this is a BIG discount!).  Make sure you head over to check it out yourself!

My entire store is 20% off too, so it is a great time to grab some SPARKLING deals!!

And as an added bonus, all of the participating bloggers have ‘pooled their cash’ to purchase 4 $25 TpT gift certificates and 1 $10 Target gift card!

The first four selected will receive the TpT gift certificates and the 5th winner will receive the Target gift card!
I hope you have a fun, safe holiday with your friends and family!  Make sure to enter the Rafflecopter below AND to check out all of the rest of the fun ideas and FREEBIES with the links below!

I’m also linking up with Cara from Creative Playground for Share the Love Sunday!

Thanks for providing us the opportunity to win some of your work. Being a new teacher I am trying to obtain as many activities as I can to assist me in my career. Today I am cooking on the grill with my family and at the same time trying to get some educational freebies 🙂 john.kocsis@verizon.net

Thanks for the chance to win. I would love the $10. I could really use it because I’ve already spent too much since school has been out. Love the freebies. We had a great 4th of July. Time with family at the pool, had food on the grill and shot fireworks. Hope you had a great 4th too.
